ABOUT ADDISON BRYEDEN & CO

Addison Bryden & Co has a team of experts with extensive knowledge in many  areas of collectables that is headed up by Stephen Osborne of Stephen Osborne  Stamps, Robert Bryden of Sussex Stamps, and David Whitley.  Addison Bryden & Co  does much business all over the world, especially in Scandinavia with AB Philea, Sweden’s leading auction house in Stockholm. Every year we buy and sell in excess of 6 million pounds worth of collectables, primarily stamps and coins. For example, over one hundred and twenty dealers have sold their stocks through Stephen Osborne over the past 30 years.

Addisson Bryden & Co makes many trips throughout North America and Western Europe every year to buy:

Stamps | Postal History | Postcards | Medals | Banknotes| Coins | Gold | Silver

Addisson Bryden & Co's aim is to spend over 1 million pounds from the general public in the Home Counties and London alone during 2014. Our philosophy is to always ensure that our clients are satisfied through our worldwide contacts for both buying and selling – we know the passion of collecting and creating their own personal stamp, postal history, postcard or coin collections. We understand how important the thrill of the hunt is, the joy of discovery and the fulfilment of the whole process that making a collection should give.

Stephen Osborne is a member of the Philatelic Traders Society (PTS) for over 20 years, and on behalf of Addisson Bryden & Co, Stephen regularly visits Germany and Scandinavia every month to buy and sell. His main stamp collecting areas are the United States, Germany and China, both Imperial and Peoples Republic including postal history. He is aslo a passionate collector of ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine coins, as well as specialised English coins through to the 1900s.

Robert Bryden’s main stamp collecting areas are Afghanistan and Liberia, David Whitley’s main stamp collecting areas are in France and French Colonies. Stephen Osborne speaks German and French.

Above all, we all recognise the importance that it is not just commercial reasons some vendors may have in mind when the day comes to sell. We know that sellers can attach considerable importance to their collection finding the right home in its entirety. We also recognise that often it is necessary for a collection to be seen by a larger audience, as through the auction process, this is why Addisson Bryden & Co is very pleased to be associated with AB Philea of Stockholm – they provide further important options for the clients of Addisson Bryden & Co.
